Neil Romberg

University of Pennsylvania & CHOP Research Institute

Dr. Romberg is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania and the Jeffry Modell Endowed Chair of Pediatric Immunology Research at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His laboratory investigates the regulatory mechanisms enabling our immune systems to fight infections without injuring ourselves. He is particularly interested in patients with errors of immunity who are susceptible to both life-threatening infections and to inflammatory diseases. Greater molecular insights into these rare disorders enable rationale development of targeted therapies for these rare patients and also potentially patients with more common inflammatory/autoimmune conditions.
