Michaela Lucas

Clinical Professor Michaela Lucas is a paediatric and adult Clinical Immunologist and Immunopathologist with conjoint appointments at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, the Perth Children’s Hospital and Pathwest. As a Clinician-Scientist, she leads a multi-disciplinary team of clinical and basic science researchers at the University of Western Australia. Clinically she cares for complex patients with auto-immunity, auto-inflammation, immunodeficiency and allergies. She is a past President of the Australasian Society of Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), the current co-chair for the Drug Allergy Stream of the National Allergy Centre of Excellence and the current co-director of the National Allergy Council, which is a partnership between the ASCIA and the consumer organisation Allergy & Anaphylaxis Australia.
